After three years of acquiring this particular selection I had a great time sifting back through them before sending:
1) the top shelf to charity - surely increasing the chances of bumping into someone locally who has read the same book
2) the bottom shelf to webuybooks - if you leave it long enough, getting money for old books makes it feel like you're practically getting paid to read #livingthedream
and 3) the middle shelf home to Ariadne - sometimes I feel like keeping a few is similar to holding on to heirloom seeds from which to grow the next collection.
Despite my particular zeal for recommending specific books to specific people (and prompted by a recent conversation) there are so many titles in I would universally recommend, the kind of books that would be the suggested reading for a module on me.
A few of which are:
Flow by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
World Peace Diet by Will Tuttle
Other Minds by Peter Godfrey-Smith
Who Owns The Future by Jason Lanier
Parallel Worlds by Michio Kaku
Feral by George Monbiot
Ecology of Wisdom by Arne Naess
Art of Asking by Amanda Palmer
Yoga of Eating by Charles Eisenstein
Ecology of Wisdom by Arne Naess
Deep by James Nestor
Become What You Are by Alan Watts
10 Million Aliens by Simon Barnes
